Section Leaders



 Piccolo Section Leaders

Hayden Gizinski

Hayden is from Seattle, Washington and is entering her third year in the band! She is a junior majoring in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology with minors in Microbiology and Music. One of her favorite memories is entering Husky Stadium for her first-ever pregame show, and she cannot wait for all of the new members to experience the excitement of Game Day! Hayden is a brother of Kappa Kappa Psi, the National Honorary Band Service Fraternity, and enjoys riding her bike during her free time. She is excited to continue working with the best section in the band. Go Dawgs!

Julia Zmuda

Julia is from Bellevue, Washington, and is returning for her fourth year with the Husky Marching Band. She is a senior at the University of Washington majoring in Environmental Engineering with a minor in Music. Her favorite stands tune to play with the band is Polynesian Paralysis, and her favorite HMB memory is marching in the Tournament of Roses Parade. In her free time, Julia enjoys cooking and finding new cafes to study at. She cannot wait to get back on the field for another fantastic season! Go Dawgs!



Clarinet Section Leaders

Amanda O’Brien

Amanda O’Brien is a senior in school from Sammamish, WA. She is intending to major in Psychology and minor in Music. Her favorite pep band tune is Polynesian Paralysis, and her favorite HMB memory is hearing the crowd yell “Tequila!” during the Rose Bowl. In her free time, she plays piano and does yoga. She is really looking forward to getting to see her HMB family again and meet the new rookies this upcoming season!



Bailey Shaw

Bailey is a junior double majoring in international studies and history with a minor in music. She is from Lake Tahoe, California, and loves how close Seattle is to the mountains. In her free time, she likes volunteering for the on-campus RSO WashPIRG and taking walks in local parks to admire the flowers. Her favorite pep tune in HMB is Radar Love and she will always remember the Pac-12 Championships in 2018 when her parents got to watch her march for the first time. She is really looking forward to meeting the new rookies and hopefully going to another bowl game.



Alto Saxophone Section Leader

Nicole Pasia

Nicole is a senior from Kent, Washington majoring in Journalism and minoring in Anthropology at UW. This will be her fourth year with the Husky Marching Band. Her favorite stands tunes are Johnny Q and Louie, Louie, of course! Outside of band, she is a reporter and photographer at the Daily, and loves plants! Nicole is super excited to meet the newest rookie class and cannot wait to perform at the Greatest Setting once again!



Tenor Saxophone Section Leader

Melia Baquian

Melia is from Kirkland, Washington, and a junior at the University of Washington studying entrepreneurship. She is going into her third year with the Husky Marching Band and cannot wait for the next year, especially meeting the incoming class. Her favorite HMB tunes are Johnny’s Mambo and Polynesian Paralysis. Melia’s favorite HMB memory is a Fourth of July gig where the pep band took a ferry to San Juan Island. Outside of band, she enjoys spending time with family and dogs, learning to salsa dance, and playing soccer. Melia cannot wait for the upcoming year with the section, band, and the new members! Go Dawgs!



Trumpet Section Leaders

Graham Fulton

Graham is from Seattle, Washington, and returning for his third year in band. He is a junior at the University of Washington, studying Political Science with minors in Informatics and Music. One of his favorite memories was watching the Women’s Basketball team upset Oregon State in the 2019 PAC-12 Tournament. In his free time, Graham enjoys searching for street food at farmer’s markets and spending time outdoors. He looks forward to another great year with the Trumpet Section, and the opportunity to hold a leadership position within the band. Go Dawgs!


Rachel Noble

Rachel is from Newcastle, Washington and is returning for her third year in the band. She is a junior at the University of Washington, majoring in Communications. Her favorite pep tune that she loves to play and dance to is Polynesian Paralysis! Outside of HMB, she loves exploring Seattle and finding all of the best restaurants with friends. She’s looking forward to having a leadership role in band and making new memories in the upcoming year!




Mellophone Section Leader

Baylor Blair

Baylor is from Snohomish, Washington and returning for his fourth year in the Husky Marching Band! He’s a senior at UW majoring in English Literature. His favorite pep tune is Johnny Q, and his favorite HMB memory is performing at Disneyland during the Rose Bowl trip! In his free time, he enjoys reading, baking, and exploring Seattle. He’s excited to finish up his time in HMB with another great season of music, friends, and Husky football! Go Dawgs!



Trombone Section Leaders

Jack Hillman

Jack Hillman is a senior from Brier, Washington majoring in Jazz Studies. He will be returning for his fourth year in the Husky Marching Band.








Brendan Minami

Brendan Minami is a senior at the University of Washington studying Informatics and is returning for his fourth year in the Husky Marching Band. His favorite HMB stands tune is Radar Love and his favorite memory with the band was marching a show with his parents during the Varsity-Alumni game. In his free time he enjoys playing video games and hanging out with his friends and family. He is really looking forward to sharing his senior year with everyone and making it one to remember. Go Dawgs!



Baritone Section Leader

Seth Reed

Seth Reed grew up in a military family, so his hometown is hard to pinpoint. He graduated from high school in Spokane, Washington, and now he is a junior studying Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering at the University of Washington. Seth’s favorite pep tune is Neck (when we’re winning, of course), and his favorite HMB memory was going to the Rose Bowl his freshman year. He is very excited to be given the opportunity of leading the Baritone Section and is looking forward to making many new friends and memories with the Husky Marching Band! Go Dawgs!



Sousaphone Section Leader

Keanu Vestil

Keanu is a 5th year in the band, and a Master’s student studying Computer Science. He is from Rancho Santa Margarita, California. He loves playing Johnny Q and his favorite HMB memories are all the away trips that he has been a part of. In his free time, Keanu enjoys learning new languages, playing video games, and cooking. He is looking forward to meeting new members and passing on the history and traditions of the sousaphone section.



Drumline Section Leader

Alex Mok

Alex Mok is from Shoreline, Washington and is returning for his third year with the band! He hopes to major in Music Education. His favorite HMB tune is Radar Love and his favorite memory with the band is being able to march the Rose Parade! Outside of band, Alex is a competitive gamer and has a love for computers and tech. He looks forward to his leadership position and can’t wait for an amazing year of band! Go Dawgs!




Drumline Sub-Section Leaders

Forrest Brennan – Tenors

Forrest Brennan is a senior for Marrowstone Island, Washington majoring in Cloud Computing. He will be returning for his fourth year in the Husky Marching Band.








Sam Rich – Bass Drums

Sam Rich is from Stanwood, Washington and is returning as Bass Drum Sub-Section Leader for the second year. He is a fourth-year student studying Industrial and Systems Engineering. Sam’s favorite HMB tune is a tie between Johnny’s Mambo and Neck. His favorite HMB memory is the Disneyland performance at the 2019 Rose Bowl. Apart from HMB, Sam’s hobbies include football, PC building/gaming, and binging Marvel movies. He’s excited for another year in leadership and looks forward to a successful senior year!


Haley Riggs – Cymbals

Haley Riggs is an Applied Mathematics major from Seattle, Washington. She is returning for her second year in the Husky Marching Band. Haley’s favorite HMB tune is Africano and her favorite memory with the band is performing at the Las Vegas Bowl. Her favorite hobbies include mindful coloring, exercising, and baking. Haley is thankful to be part of the Husky Marching Band and is excited to be in a leadership role. Go Dawgs!




Will Fantry – Cymbals

Will Fantry is a senior from Seattle, Washington majoring in Music. He will be returning for his fourth year in the Husky Marching Band.
